Do you offer standard plans, or do you only build custom homes?

We offer customers a personalised experience as we understand no 2 people or blocks of land are the same and only a customised home can offer no compromises. Our process is simple with only 4 steps.

Can I bring my own designs?

Yes, Split building PTY LTD will build your home from and existing set of plans you’ve had prepared. We will review the plans with our architect, then meet with you to discuss the design, the anticipated costs and timelines.

Can Split Building take care of the demolition of my old home and take care of all approvals?

Yes, once you have agreed on the plans, specifications, interior and exterior designs, then we manage the rest. This includes all the paperwork for building approvals, the demolition of your existing home, Clean up of the site after your home is finished, driveway, fencing pool and landscaping. All you need to do is to sit back and enjoy the experience.

Can Split Building build pools and driveways, and organise landscaping?

Yes, Split building PTY LTD can design and build all aspects of landscaping including pools, outdoor entertaining areas and driveways. Ask for the virtual experience.

What’s the cost of building with Split Building?

We have built homes from $180,000. to $1,200,000. No matter what the budget is our easy process or quality and exceptional customer experience never changes. Our expert team creates stunning custom built homes to suit any block of land and lifestyle. While we have existing customised designs to help get the conversation started, we often start from scratch and design a home that’s unique to each client’s needs. Most importantly, our costings are transparent and the price of your new home will be decided on before we enter the approval process, so there are no hidden surprises throughout the journey.

How long is the process?

As planing is most critical we have no specific dates as this varies on our clients needs. The process is also influenced by the approval process required for your new home. The Complying Development Certificate (CDC) can take 14 to 18 days for approval, while a Development Approval (DA) can take four to eight months, depending the council. You are generally out of your home for around 20-40 weeks from the time we start demolition. On larger scale projects we recommend renting for 12 months or staying with family if possible.

Split building PTY LTD primarily construct homes throughout Sydney’s West, North West, South West and the Blue mountains.

How long does it take to design and price a home?

The very first step you take on the journey with Split building PTY LTD is to sit down with the builder and registered architect, share your thoughts and ideas about what you need in a home, and what budget is realistic. The team can take you through the realities of that idea. We will develop a realistic budget estimate and timeline for the project. This will enable you to understand whether it is possible.

Do you provide an interior designer?

Yes, the award winning interior design team at Split building PTY LTD use the latest technology and trends that will help you with every selection so the right decisions are made on time and on budget. All our designs come with realistic 3D renders of the finished home and the ability to walk through the design with Virtual reality technology.

Do you include a warranty program with your homes?

Split Building has a market leading warranty and guarantee program, to ensure your peace of mind. You can discuss this in more detail during the initial consultation.

New House Designers & Builders In Sydney Can I retrofit my existing house to the Passivhaus standard?

Yes you can, with any major renovation you can retrofit to Passive House standard, but special consideration needs to be taken with the existing structure.

What is Basix?

Basix is a performance based regulatory scheme that delivers energy and water efficiency outcomes in line with the requirements of the Building Code of Australia.Introduced in 2004, BASIX applies to all new residential buildings and alterations and additions to existing residential buildings where the cost of renovation works is more than $50,000. Delivered online, the BASIX assessment tool evaluates a project based NSW average bench-marks for water and energy consumption, taking into account regional variations such as soil type, climate, rainfall and evaporation rates. The current BASIX targets for metro Sydney is BASIX 40 and a ‘pass’ requirement for thermal comfort, currently equivalent to a NatHERS 5 star rating.
