A Town Called Split
Hello I’m Damir,
My family is from Croatia and Split Building is named after my home town called Split.
When I took my family back to Split a few years ago, it was like a warm feeling of being hugged. It’s hard to describe. They were welcoming and greeted us with open arms. It was an incredibly moving experience, life changing.
It’s my goal to ensure that your home has that same warm feeling that I had visiting Split. I’d love you to experience what it’s like to have a community with you the whole way through your build.
Split is renowned for its beautifully built homes and buildings that have lasted centuries. It’s with this feeling that I created Split Building and to bring that feeling to Australia, where my heart and family are. Thank you for being interested in us, Damir
About Damir, the Builder & Managing Director
Since I can remember homes have been a fascination to me, the styles, their uses, the way they make you feel and how they’ve been constructed.
You have an idea.
You create a design concept.
Then you think, how am I going to do this, how does this come together in that process or concept to design?
Then stepping back and having a look at what you have achieved. That’s what I love about building the most.
We are emotionally connected and involved in every project and we understand how important it is to have a home that suits the family.
As as I love helping people, with this fascination, becoming builder just seemed like a natural thing to do.
Another part of being a builder I love is educating. The excitement when we start talking about ideas and needs we can help with, and then the reactions we get once we deliver their dream, makes it all worth it.
My journey to become what I set out to be started in 1997 but the passion for building started from seven years of age helping my parents build their home and realising from the onset its not just about the structure, but how well you deliver the project and the lasting effects. I’ve now seen the industry from many angles and unfortunately a small percentage of that has been negative which has driven our passion to create a company set out to deliver our customers a wonderful building experience and product.
The wonderful building experience comes from the onset in our 1st face-to-face as we introduce you to our business model designed to deliver that experience through understanding our equal needs, we guide and work through the design and build process and continue to work as a team to ensure we deliver everything you’ve wanted.

CarpenterKym is a Lead Carpenter and Builder. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and we're excited to work with him on some incredible homes
